Turkish artists met at Lefke Hanı, a historic caravanserai in İstanbul, to showcase their works and exchange ideas about art.

The event, titled Ressamlar, Lefkeliler Hanı’nda Buluştu (Painters Gathered at Lefke Hanı), brought together distinguished artists from across Turkey, including Mehmet Güleryüz, Canan Tolon, Ömer Uluç, Neş’e Erdok, and Adem Gençoğlu.

Lefke Hanı, located in the heart of the city’s historic district, is a stunning example of Ottoman architecture. Built in the early 18th century, the caravanserai has served as a marketplace, an inn for travelers, and now, as a cultural hub for artists.

During the event, the artists showcased their latest works, ranging from traditional oil paintings to modern digital pieces. They also engaged in lively discussions about their art, sharing their techniques and inspirations with one another.

For many of the artists, Lefke Hanı provided a unique opportunity to connect with their colleagues and showcase their works to a wider audience. “It’s great to be able to showcase our works in such a beautiful venue,” said painter Ömer Uluç, “and to connect with other artists who share our passion for art.”

The event was organized by the Lefke Hanı Cultural Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting the arts and preserving the historic caravanserai. The foundation regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts, and cultural events, drawing a diverse crowd of visitors from across Istanbul.

As the event came to a close, the artists expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to connect with one another and share their love of art. “It’s important for us to come together and support one another,” said painter Adem Gençoğlu.

Ressamlar, Lefkeliler Hanı’nda Buluştu was a testament to the vitality and creativity of Turkey’s artistic community, and a celebration of the rich history and culture of Istanbul.
